Residents are urged to be vigilant following reports of a winter fuel text message scam. Scammers posing as representatives of the DWP are contacting residents and directing them to a link under the guise of completing an application for an energy subsidy. Residents should be extremely wary of unsolicited texts and phone calls and if in any doubt, should not give out personal details or click on associated links.
