The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for rain which covers the Scottish Borders during the weekend. Key information Warning runs from 4pm on Saturday until 12noon on SundayWarning area covers the whole of the Scottish BordersHeavy rain and thunderstorms possible20-30mm of rain likely, but some locations could see up to 75mm in just a few hoursMost significant rainfall expected on SundayRisk of flooding and transport disruptionBe prepared for rain and floodingFor those travelling outwith the area this weekend, please note this warning extends northwards through central and eastern Scotland, as far north as Aviemore and Aberdeen. A yellow weather warning for thunderstorms is also in place immediately south of the border and which covers most of England.
