The Lloyds Tour of Britain Women professional cycle race is coming to the Scottish Borders on Saturday 7 June. This will be the first time that Scotland has hosted a UCI WorldTour event and we will be welcoming some of the world's best riders to the area for this event. Eighteen teams and 108 riders will take to the start line in Kelso at 11am. The race is expected to finish around 3pm. There will be activities and entertainment throughout the day in Kelso town centre, with further activities in Melrose. Road closures and parking restrictions To facilitate the event and ensure the safety of riders and spectators, road closures and parking restrictions will be in place in Kelso, with a rolling road closure and minimal parking restrictions affecting communities along the route. Thank you in advance for your co-operation and support, and apologies for any inconvenience caused. Parking restrictions will be in place in areas of: Advance signage and cones will be in place where restrictions apply. Please note, vehicles breaching the restrictions will be uplifted to prevent safety issues and/or disruption to the event.
