Scottish Water is urging residents to use water as efficiently as possible in homes and gardens to help maintain normal water supplies. Since mid-April demand for water has increased by 150 million litres per day due to prolonged dry conditions. You can help save water by: Using water efficiently in the garden and outdoor spaces by using a watering can instead of a garden hose where possible and avoiding using sprinklers Taking shorter showersTurning the tap off when brushing teethUsing washing machines and dishwashers only when fully loadedUsing a bucket and sponge rather than a hose to wash the carMore information can be found on the Scottish Water website. |
