A warning has been issued of overtopping in coastal areas

Warning today, Wednesday 9 October, for high tides and possible overtopping in coastal areas.

There is particular concern regarding the risk of overtopping in the Bantry area of Eyemouth.

  • Impact is expected around the time of high tide. 
  • Barriers will be deployed this afternoon.
  • The Beach end of harbour Road, Eyemouth will be closed.
  • Care is to be taken in areas close to the sea.
